About McFadden Nature Center

Mission

Statement

The McFadden Foundation mission is to preserve and protect the land, indigenous plants and animals and all things related to it in as good of quality as reasonably possible.

Standard

Of Quality

The standards of quality should be guided by pre-settlement periods, before the industrial revolution and prior to the major destruction and clearcutting of native forests in southwest Georgia.  All aspects should be considered in planning and decision making including, but not limited to air, water, land, artifacts, farming, plants, animals, birds, reptiles, and insects.  Influence and education of others should be a primary goal to encourage others to respect, protect and enjoy our natural surroundings.

Our

Objectives

The primary objectives of management of this land is to maintain a bio-diverse entity, and to show respect to all species, without being species specific and without favoring one over another.
